Our new EP, “Strange Calls,” is set for release on April 29th!
Come celebrate with us on the eve of the big release at Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco!
Show is April 28th, and we’ll be joined by We Arsons, as well as Jeremy Lyon of Bay Area badasses Tumbleweed Wanderers’ fame! This is sure to be a big night for us, and we can’t wait to share it with all of you!
Heyo! It’s our favorite time of year, which means we’re gonna be playing a Halloween party wherein we all get wasted and sing Lady Gaga covers that the audience invariably takes over by jumping on the stage and stealing the mic from Tracey in a drunken shamble. Sounds like a good time, no?
We’re playing with the kickass Rin Tin Tiger and Moxie Kids – it’s a buzzworthy-as-fuck local bill, so come party with your hometown heroes for HALLOWEEN, goddammit. We have some shenanigans in store for y’all. Also, the SHINE YOU UP 12′ vinyl will be available FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER at this show! So come get yer copy, they are gorgeous, and we’re not biased at all.
I can’t believe my best friend, collaborator, hero, and basic other-fuckin-half is turning 30. I’ve known this guy since he was 21 and I was a wee lass of 19; time flies, and I truly mean it when I say I don’t know where the hell I’d be without having Chris Tye in my life.
I hope everyone(!!) will come out for this super-special birthday show we’re throwing for him- his brother’s band is coming up from SD to open up the night, and we’re hoping to have some other surprises in store for y’all so that it feels like everyone’s motherfuckin’ birthday. Now that sounds like a hell of a time.
In case you didn’t already know, we’ll be back at Bottom of the Hill this Friday, June 15th, opening for French artist Soko. If you’re a Cee Lo Green fan (tiny hands! ask Tracey about her thoughts on tiny hands sometime), you might recognize her song “I’ll Kill Her” from his Stray Bullets mixtape back in 2010. Street cred, what?!
Anyway, you can get tickets here in advance: http://www.stubmatic.com/bottomofthehill/event/7153. Details above on the snazzy poster, too.
In case you missed it, here’s the link to the Radio Valencia interview Chris and Tracey did last Thursday on Baghdad by the Bay. You can hear us talk about our most embarrassing albums and first concerts. Behind these stone-cold-bad-ass exteriors (we know, we know), we were just a couple of awkward-ass teens.
